Corning Cable Systems Australia
Serving the Australian Market since 1948

Corning Cable Systems Australia was established in 2000 with the Corning Cable Systems acquisition of MM Cables Communication Products and Siemens Communication Cables Pty Ltd but its roots can be traced back to 1948 when Austral Standard Cables was formed in Maidstone, Victoria. Currently, our manufacturing facility is located at 74-84 Main Road, Clayton in Melbourne, Victoria Australia 3168 from which we provide national coverage.

Within our Clayton facility we manufacture a wide range of indoor and outdoor optical fibre cables for underground and aerial applications, MDF blocks, factory-assembled optical fibre terminals, and factory-assembled FlexNAP™ System distribution cables for FTTx deployments. In addition to the locally manufactured products, we supply and support the full range of Corning Cable Systems products.

Our plant is certified to Quality AS/NZS 9001:2008, Environment AS/NZS 14001:2004, Occupational Health & Safety AS/NZS 4801:2001 and the international quality standard ISO9001:2000.

Corning Cable Systems Australia is an established industry player and has supply experience with all the major telcos, power utilities and railways in Australia and New Zealand. To date, more than 25,000 homes throughout Australia have been passed with fibre using Corning Cable Systems FTTx Evolant® Solutions.
