At Corning Incorporated, our commitment to strong, responsible corporate governance begins with our Board of Directors. Each Board member is vitally concerned that we preserve the integrity that has characterized our company for more than 150 years.
Our basic board structure -- with 12 of our 15 directors being outsiders to Corning -- provides a unique and objective point of view in the way we operate the company. The Board's audit committee (made up entirely of outside directors) closely reviews all annual report data and ensures our compliance with laws and regulations of the New York Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to our 2009 Annual Report, 45% of Corning's 2009 revenues came from our display technologies segment, 31% from our telecommunications segment, 11% from our environmental technologies segment, 6% from our specialty materials segment and 7% from our life sciences segment. Other products represented less than 1% of Corning sales.
